Crowns and a couple other treasures!

I have been out looking for crowns. So far this is what I have come up with.... I think this could become a addiction. Something about putting the little crown in your hands is empowering.
Tootsie started this whole thing!!! Thanks Toots! Now, maybe my dreary Indiana winter will be a little brighter.
I think of Tootsie every time I walk by them.

I have a few other little treasures that I would like to share. My great Aunt Martha passed away last year. She was a spectacular lady. Here are a few items that were still in her home that were basically "trash". Her home is ready to be bulldozed because the state is taking
possession of it to pay for the care she
received in the nursing home. The home is basically worthless in their eyes. Well, these items do not look like trash to me! I love them and they remind me of her every day.

My great aunt had a only child named Louise . Louise tragically drowned at age 30. The decanters belonged to her. I found them behind a chair forgotten and moldy.
I am the most sentimental person that you will ever find. I will not put anything into my house that doesn't have a meaning of some kind. It may not be pretty to some but it means something to me or my family.
I think the things in ones home should be what YOU love. I think more is more and almost anything can be turned into a treasure! I loved Gollum's new decorating rules for 2009! If you haven't read them yet you need to.-
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
A special prayer request

I am loving the crowns my friend! When you are thinking of me ....am I in a straight jacket? lol
I love that we are friends enough that we cross each other's minds from time to time and not just when we are on the computer! I have a lady at the grocery store that I will only go to her register anymore...she looks like you! I stood in a long line yesterday ...when I should have been home a lot sooner had I gone to the other till!
I love your glass bottles. I especially love the colored one. It is so.. good to see you posting. HUgs, Terrie
Daisy Rae, Came across your blog today through someone's back door. I enjoyed reading your blog and will continue. Family things mean so very much to me also. There is some kind of family bond. I used a family decanter in the bathroom. I filled it with mouthwash. Thanks for sharing. Love and Prayers, Suzanne
Tootsie sure has started a crown craze. I haven't had any luck around here yet. (But then I guess you have to get out shopping to do that.) The momentos I have from my Gramma are not worth much but they sure are to me. ~ Robyn
